We currently have a wide variety of STEM training such as Cyber-Taipan and the Bebras Challenge (Computational Thinking Challenge).

CyberTaipan is a fun competition that brings together people with different skills from diverse backgrounds.
The aim of CyberTaipan is to inspire students toward careers and further education in cyber security and other STEM disciplines critical to Australia’s future.

CyberTaipan is an Australian cyber security competition that is modelled on the US Air Force Association’s CyberPatriot program.

This program has been running successfully since 2009 and has already expanded into Canada as CyberTitan, the UK as CyberCenturion and Saudi Arabia.

After a successful pilot by AustCyber in 2018-19, the competition is now being expanded by the CSIRO through the Digital Careers Program.

The competition puts teams of high-school aged students in the position of freshly-hired IT professionals, tasked with managing the security network of a small company.

The Bebras Challenge is an interactive way to learn collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking skills. The challenge is available online. The goal is to promote computational thinking in a way that highlights abilities.

The challenge can be completed without any prior knowledge of computational thinking or digital technologies.

The Bebras Challenge has grown across 60 countries with over 1.6 million youth participating worldwide!

Defence hosts an annual Cyber Skills Challenge which incorporates both presentations from industry, academia and international guest that inject real world examples and relevance for participants, along with a two-day Capture the Flag (CTF) challenge.

CTF is a special kind of cybersecurity competition designed to challenge the participants to solve various computer security problems and capture and defend computer systems. Each challenge solved earns points for the team.
