- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must behave in accordance with Australian Navy Cadets Guiding Principles and Values that supports the good reputation of the Australian Navy Cadets
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must behave honestly and with integrity while undertaking cadet force activities.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must act with care and diligence while undertaking cadet force activities.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must treat everyone with dignity, respect and courtesy, and not engage in harassment, unlawful discrimination, or bullying (including cyber bullying).
- An Australian Navy Cadet staff member must not have, or attempt to have, or cultivate, an intimate/exclusive relationship with a cadet.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must undertake cadet force activities in a safe, skilful, and competent manner.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must not make unauthorised use of confidential information, or reveal it to persons not authorised to receive it.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation, while undertaking cadet force activities, must comply with all applicable Australian laws, as follows:
- Any Act or any instrument made under an Act.
- Any law of a State or Territory, including any instrument made under such a law.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must, comply with any lawful and reasonable direction given by:
- Chief of Navy;
- Chief of Navy’s Delegate;
- An officer or instructor of a cadet force;
- A cadet, at the time being in charge of another cadet; and
- Australian Navy Cadet Policy, Directive or Procedure.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must use Commonwealth resources in a proper manner and ensure property and equipment is protected, maintained and used safely.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must not provide false or misleading information in response to a request for information or documentation that is made for official purposes in connection with the member’s cadet force appointment, activities and investigations.
- A member of the Australian Navy Cadet organisation must comply with any other conduct requirement that is prescribed by ADFC and ANC Policy and Procedures.
